Celebrities shouldn’t take it easy when dressing for an occasion like Paris Fashion Week. When celebrities are allowed to sit front row at a performance, they are expected to dress the part of a VIP visitor, which calls for a bold outfit. Someone who recognized this week’s assignment? Kylie Jenner. The actress, who was already skilled at dressing up, increased the level of her style by taking chances during the week. The unexpected decisions have been successful.
Jenner has donned a bolder-than-the-last outfit for each event she has attended in Paris this week. Despite the extreme differences between each design, they have always included dramatic, avant-garde shapes that are powerful. They stand out because they differ from the slimmer, bodycon dresses she usually wears. She donned a blue velvet dress from the brand with a plunging sweetheart neckline and a large anatomical heart-pendant necklace at the Schiaparelli presentation a few days ago, for instance (everyone knows Disney villains are usually the best dressed characters). She also donned a fluffy bright pink floor-length dress and Batgirl-inspired sunglasses to the Balenciaga presentation this morning.
Even her more laid-back actions at Paris Fashion Week left an impression. She donned the brand’s sleek grey cloak to the Loewe presentation, but it was her bottom half that caught attention. She made intimates more of an outerwear item by donning a basic logo shirt and Loewe briefs. She reinvented the traditional jersey dress at Acne Studios. Hers was all white, with a cape draped over the back, and she added a pair of enormous white bug-eye sunglasses (her go-to accessory this week, clearly).
While Jenner has always loved her designer wears, it’s her willingness to think outside of the box and experiment—and to drastically switch up her look at each show!—that has cemented her as one of Paris’s best-dressed attendees this week.
