Champions Manchester City defeats Bournemouth to bring it two victories in a row.

Erling Haaland, a striker from Norway, made his home debut by helping to set up Ilkay Gundogan’s first goal after 19 minutes, demonstrating how quickly the champions were able to get into their stride in the sunshine.

After crushing newly promoted Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Manchester City improved to 2-0 to start the new Premier League campaign.

Erling Haaland, a striker from Norway, made his home debut by helping to set up Ilkay Gundogan’s first goal after 19 minutes, demonstrating how quickly the champions were able to get into their stride in the sunshine.

After scoring the opening goal, City went on the offensive and added a lavish second 12 minutes later when Kevin De Bruyne curled a beautiful shot into the back of the net with the outside of his foot.

It was only a matter of how many more goals the hosts would assist themselves to after Phil Foden scored another off of a De Bruyne pass shortly before halftime.

Late in the second half, Haaland had a chance to score, but he mishandled a pull-back from Jack Grealish.

It didn’t really matter since Jefferson Lerma’s late own goal placed the cherry on top as City continued their perfect start to the new season.
