Gunna finds himself in a complex situation: he’s enjoying immense success, with his last album, One of Wun, well-received by fans. However, the rapper has also become a target for many former friends in the industry. His fallout with Young Thug, particularly following the YSL case, has left him isolated. Many speculate that Gunna made a deal to protect himself, a notion that has only fueled animosity from other artists.

Most recently, Future, a past collaborator, took aim at Gunna in his track “Allure.” Yet, despite the tensions, Gunna remains unfazed and appears to be channeling his energy into new music.

On October 4, Gunna shared a video on social media that showcased him working hard at the gym, accompanied by a tantalizing snippet of an unreleased track. The video captures Gunna looking focused as he runs on a treadmill, while a catchy beat produced by Turbo plays in the background. Although the clip only offers a brief 20 seconds of the new song, it hints at Gunna’s determination to keep creating.

The timing of this tease seems deliberate. While there are no overt jabs at Future in the snippet, the strategic release could serve to shift the spotlight away from Future’s diss, generating buzz around Gunna’s forthcoming material. Future’s verse on “Allure” is hard to ignore, with lines that suggest deep-seated tension: “You done took a plea on my slime. Won’t be surprised if you ended up dead.”

Once known for their frequent collaborations, Gunna and Future’s relationship has soured, especially as Future remains loyal to Young Thug, whom he regards as a brother. In this landscape of conflict, Gunna continues to thrive. Recently, he was honored alongside LL Cool J and Usher at the Black Music Action Coalition Gala, demonstrating his resilience and commitment to his craft.

As Gunna prepares to unveil new music, fans are left wondering: will he respond to the barbs thrown his way, or will he simply continue to rise above the noise?
