During a live performance, Mariah Carey handled a wardrobe malfunction like a total pro.

When the singer experienced a wardrobe malfunction while performing live, Mariah Carey’s glam staff sprung into action.

At Moet & Chandon’s holiday party in New York City this week, Carey gave a performance. The performance was caught on camera, and the performer was donning a black slip dress by Jonathan Simkhai with a chain-link strap that “untethered” during the song.
When Carey’s strap unexpectedly broke, it dropped to her side as she was performing. Moments later, stylist Wilfredo Rosado ran onto the stage and attempted to reattach the strap. It was also a chance for her makeup artist, Kristofer Buckle, and hair stylist, Danielle Priano, to touch up their work.

The concert had to go on, though. We need to put this dress together, Carey said as she continued to sing.
Later that evening, Carey commented on the outfit mishap on her Instagram Story, writing, “My god! We were inches away from a full-blown scandal, but we managed to pull it off. We were able to recover this portion, which came unattached, and everyone was really professional.

Additionally, the singer dismissed the quality of her freestyle lyrics, saying, “It is what it was, it’s nothing special. However, let me just say that we succeeded.
