As co-producer of Netflix’s We the People, alongside Michelle and Barack Obama and Kenya Barris, H.E.R. won a Children’s & Family Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Program, confirming that she is only one Tony away from becoming the youngest EGOT recipient. In September, Jennifer Hudson won the EGOT, becoming her the youngest woman to do so.
H.E.R., who is only 25 years old, has won five Grammy awards. Her critically praised self-titled EP’s Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance with Daniel Caesar were her first victories from the Recording Academy in 2019. She won Song of the Year for “I Can’t Breathe” in one of the major four categories the previous year.
Together with D’Mile and Tiara Thomas, the “Where I Go” co-star won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2021 for “Fight For You” from Judas and the Black Messiah. Additionally, the album won the Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
