Diddy’s Gag Order Bid on Government Leak Allegations Denied by Federal Judge

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs faced a legal setback on Friday when a federal judge denied his request for a gag order on government agencies involved in his high-profile racketeering and sex trafficking case. Diddy’s attorneys had argued that federal investigators were leaking information to the media to undermine his defense, as his case continues to dominate headlines. However, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian ruled against imposing a gag order on the government agencies, although he did set a new guideline prohibiting all parties—including government agents, investigators, and Diddy’s own legal team—from disclosing any grand jury proceedings related to the case.

In his ruling, Judge Subramanian clarified that the order was not based on any confirmed evidence of leaks, stating, “The Court has made no findings at this juncture relating to defendant’s allegations that information related to the case has been leaked.” Instead, the order aims to preserve the integrity of the trial by preventing any future leaks that could impact Diddy’s right to a fair hearing.

Diddy’s legal team, led by attorney Marc Agnifilo, has been vocal about previous alleged leaks, including the recent release of a 2016 video showing an altercation between Diddy and his former girlfriend, Cassie. According to court filings, the video’s publication was intended to “mortally wound” Diddy’s reputation, prejudicing public opinion against him before the trial.

Currently, Diddy remains detained in Brooklyn following his not-guilty plea, awaiting further proceedings. Stay tuned for more updates as his case unfolds.
