As part of a new initiative to give Samsung consumers a unique consumer experience, Theta Networks will sell Galaxy NFTs that include access to virtual events via ThetaPass.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Samsung Electronics and other parties, including Theta Labs, to establish an NFT ecosystem for the company’s new Galaxy line of smartphones.
Samsung Electronics is encouraging customer experience innovation that links new-fangled technologies (NFTs) in the online virtual realm to offline tangible benefits.
The NFT ecosystem, according to the business, fosters “customer experience innovation” by integrating the virtual and physical worlds.
NFT for improved client interactions
Samsung plans to use NFTs as a way to offer “practical benefits” like customer discounts and an authentication tools – details to be confirmed at a phone unveiling event planned for August 10.
At the event, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Fold 4, that is said to feature an improved hinge design, slimmer build, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus with 4 nm processing tech, according to CNET.
With the list of partners in the MOU, the Korean-language press release suggested an in-person/retail component to the utilization process. It prepared a list of retail partners, consisting of the company’s in-house Digital Plaza stores.
“Samsung Electronics will keep innovating the consumer experience that fuses the virtual and physical worlds utilising NFT with various partners,” the company stated.
Theta Labs is responsible for producing the Galaxy NFTs, while Allink provides authentication services for NFC payment systems.
Theta Network co-founder Mitch Liu stated in an English-language news article that Theta is “publishing the world’s largest offline NFT tool campaign.”
“ThetaPass technology allows over 100,000 NFT holders to use their cards both online and offline. This is only the beginning; to further the advantages of Samsung NFT holders, we will continue to broaden our coverage of brick-and-mortar and online retailers.
The term “ThetaPass” refers to an NFT access ticketing system that was initially discussed in January.
Theta Networks and Samsung have previously worked together.
In February, Theta Networks and Samsung collaborated on an NFT digital collectibles initiative to commemorate the introduction of the Galaxy S22 and S8 Tablets.
Customers who registered on Theta Network’s NFT marketplace, ThetaDrop, may get free NFT if they had pre-ordered the aforementioned devices in Korea. Utilizing a unique code obtained through verification via the “Samsung Members” app is a part of this procedure.
The agreement, according to Liu at the time, “exemplifies global use of Theta’s blockchain technology.” And that he welcomes the opportunity to use it to establish a lasting community.
