Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are awarded 2022 Ripple of Hope Award for Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights

They are present! When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accepted the 2022 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award in New York City on Tuesday, December 6, they were a sight to behold.

Meghan, 41, looked stunning in a white off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton dress with long sleeves. The Suits accessorised her stylish ensemble with a few modest pieces, including Princess Diana’s renowned aquamarine ring, and swept her hair back into a low bun. In a black and white suit, Harry, 38, kept things traditional.

The pair was honoured for their work using their Archewell Foundation to promote racial fairness, mental health, and other social problems.

“We were overjoyed when the duke and duchess agreed to accept our request to serve as award laureates back in March. The late Robert F. Kennedy’s daughter Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, said in a news statement in October that the couple had always stood out for their readiness to speak out and alter the narrative on racial justice and mental health around the world. They exhibit the kind of moral fortitude that my father once described as the “one needed, important trait for people who attempt to transform a world that submits most cruelly to change”
The late NBA legend Bill Russell, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and other “exemplary leaders” are also recognised alongside Harry and Meghan.

Earlier on Tuesday, the couple travelled to New York City. Harry was dressed in a white button-down shirt and black slacks, and Meghan was dressed all in black.
The Sussexes’ trip to the east coast coincides with the anticipation for their upcoming Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, whose first three episodes will air on December 8.

The Suits alum and the founder of Invictus Games have promised to convey the “whole” truth about the numerous difficulties they have encountered since becoming public with their romance in 2016. As a result, the project is predicted to be an exciting one. (The couple wed in 2018 and had a boy named Archie, 3, and a daughter named Lili, 18 months.)

Harry asserted that the palace had spread unfavourable rumours about him and Meghan in an explosive teaser that was unveiled on Monday, December 5. Harry told the camera, “The family has a hierarchy. “You know, leaks happen, but there are also planted articles. It’s a sleazy game.
Fans have expressed delight about the series, but the royal family seems to find it disconcerting.

On Thursday, December 1, royal analyst Jonathan Sacerdoti exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that “this is actually a jab to the royal family once again from [Harry and Meghan]”. It’s difficult, in my opinion, for the royal family to ignore this. It is unavoidable. For them, the noise is constant, and they would like it to stop.

The native of California and the author of Spare declared in January 2020 that they would be “stepping back as senior members of the Royal Family.” The couple’s relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate, the wife of Harry’s brother Prince William, was strained by the announcement that rocked the entire world. The siblings were allegedly “at one other’s throats as ferociously as ever” in private, according to author Robert Lacey in a June 2021 Daily Mail opinion piece.

Following their departure from the royal family, Meghan and Harry relocated to California, established their Archewell Foundation, and gave a shocking CBS interview in which Meghan admitted that the intense scrutiny she was under to from British media had prompted her to consider suicide.
