The American Music Awards are already in full swing, and the beauty ideas are flowing fast. The “floating eyeliner” style, which feels sharp to the touch, was worn by Dove Cameron as she made her way down the red carpet.
The remainder of Cameron’s makeup was kept understated; she had satin skin, a glossy neutral lip, and little eyeliner, which allowed her eyeliner to steal the show. The look initially had a typical cat eye, but Cameron’s brow almost reached the line of the liner. One more line was applied to the inner third of her upper eyelid to create the appearance of two independent eyeliners, and it was then drawn in toward the first half of her eye along her crease. This style is the ideal use of the floating-eyeliner trend since the area in between the lines was left unfilled.
One of the many graphic eyeliner methods that has lately gained popularity is floating eyeliner. The trend has been seen on celebrities like Storm Reid and Taylor Swift, with the latter even giving it a bejewelled twist for her own take on the floating-crystal eyeliner look.
The rest of Cameron’s look was as lovely, including her 3D nails and Clayton Hawkins’ baby locks, but there’s something enchanted about the peek-a-boo qualities of a magnificent floating eyeliner.
