Atlanta Real Housewives “In not one but two weddings over the weekend, alum Porsha Williams said “I do” to businessman Simon Guobadia, who is of Nigerian descent. According to People, the pair wed on Friday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta in a traditional Nigerian local law and custom wedding in front of 250 guests. The pair then celebrated Williams’s southern heritage with a second American wedding on Saturday in front of 350 guests in an Atlanta Methodist church.
Williams wore a total of four gowns throughout the two wedding ceremonies, plus an additional three costumes for the reception and after-party on Saturday. The “RHOA” actress told People that the event will be a genuine fashion spectacle. “I simply couldn’t say no to any gowns! If a wedding dress was offered to me and I liked it, I would buy it.”
The weddings of Williams and Guobadia not only included some stunning fashion moments, but they also attracted a large number of celebrities. Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris, as well as reality stars Jennifer Williams, Karlie Redd, and Quad Webb, were present. The Real Housewives cast members Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Monyetta Shaw, and Drew Sidora were all present at the event on Saturday.
Williams posted a picture of herself and her new husband wearing their wedding attire from Friday’s ceremony on Instagram on Saturday along with a thank-you note to her friends and family. She commented, “Thank you everybody for your prayers and well wishes. “We appreciate you being a part of our life’s journey. The very best is still to come!”
Williams is now married for the second time. Her first husband was Kordell Stewart. She was also engaged to Dennis McKinley, with whom she has a daughter named Pilar, who is 2 years old. Guobadia, meantime, is the father of Quentin, Nicole, Christian, Benjamin, and Ximena, five kids from prior unions. This will be the couple’s last trip down the aisle, they are determined.
Just “My husband, my husband, my husband” will be heard “stated Williams. “I’m going to annoy everybody! Okay, this is our final marriage. We have a place here. So that’s all. Being able to locate your special someone is a blessing. It doesn’t occur frequently.”
