On November 29, Demi Lovato showed up for the 2022 UNICEF Gala in New York City with a whole new appearance. The singer came on the red carpet sporting the perennially fashionable “bixie” hairdo, which went nicely with her Hellessy black and white gown. Lovato’s hair was trimmed into a hybrid pixie-bob style with long, eyelash-grazing bangs in the front and very little length in the back, created by famous hairdresser Cesar Deleon Ramirez.
Loving this length, Ramirez captioned a close-up of Lovato’s appearance that she posted on Instagram. She had a shag cut, side bangs, and shoulder-length hair before this. This “bixie” is a significant departure from the look they were wearing when they were sighted earlier this month, but given the star’s long history of edgy styles, it fits the bill well. From a blond pixie cut in 2020 (which they subsequently coloured pink) to a mullet at the start of 2021 and a buzzcut not long after, Lovato has sported a variety of hairstyles over the years. And those are only the recent alterations to her hair.
Celebrity makeup artist Jill Powell completed Lovato’s appearance for the UNICEF event with “natural beaming glam,” as she captioned a photo on Instagram. Coupled with the strapless gown, Lovato’s extremely impressive tattoo collection was on full display.
